Amey is seeking a Permanent Senior Ecologist to join the HSEQ team on a hybrid basis, 37.5 hours per week. The role involves leading ecological deliverables, surveys, and governance for rail infrastructure projects across the UK, with opportunities to progress within ecological and environmental institutions.

You will support ecological risk management, deliver training, and contribute to client biodiversity meetings, while advancing your career through mentorship and development programs.

Formación

• Degree in Ecology or environmental topic.
• Full membership of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (MCIEEM) or equivalent.
• Technical expertise in protected species license with a specialism (e.g., bats or great crested newts).
• Experience in an Ecologist role or equivalent.

Responsabilidades

• Lead ecological surveys/inspections and oversee deliverables.
• Develop ecological assurance and governance documentation.
• Update governance documentation on the IMS system.
• Gather ecological case studies and develop lessons learned.
• Develop ecological processes for accounts to ensure compliance.
• Provide ecological training via in-person sessions, LearnUpon modules, webinars, and toolbox talks.
