Job summary

SLR is seeking an experienced Senior Ecologist to join our Ecology team in Bury St Edmunds, delivering high-profile ecological projects across the UK and Ireland. The role focuses on renewable energy, infrastructure and residential development, with exposure to a wide range of sectors.

You will manage projects from inception to completion, mentor junior ecologists, coordinate with planners and other environmental specialists, and contribute to fee proposals and business development.

Qualifications

• Degree in Ecology or a related environmental discipline.
• Experience leading ecological projects and mentoring colleagues.
• Experience producing technical reports (PEAs, EcIAs, HRAs) and licence applications.
• Full UK driving licence for site visits.
• Knowledge of UK and European ecological legislation.

• Managing ecological projects from inception through to completion
