Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. is seeking an Ecologist or Senior Ecologist to join a growing, collaborative Ecology Team. You will work with the Principal Ecologist on surveys, mitigation design, licences and input to multidisciplinary teams across diverse sectors.

Senior level duties include mentoring junior ecologists, while maintaining autonomy and benefiting from training opportunities. A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum BSc in Ecology or related environmental discipline.
• Solid consultancy experience with UK/EU wildlife legislation and policy.
• Protected species licensing experience and at least one species license.
• Ability to manage projects, budgets and client relationships; field capability.
• Membership of CIEEM or IEMA would be welcome but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Conduct surveys and assessments across a varied portfolio of projects.
• Design and implement mitigation and enhancement measures; obtain licences.
• Contribute ecological input to multidisciplinary project teams.
• Mentor junior ecologists and support professional development.
