A consultant ecologist balances developers' objectives with environmental needs. SWT Ecology Services advocates for protecting environmental assets while facilitating development to improve community quality of life. Each project is an opportunity to achieve optimal outcomes for both.
As part of a team of principal and senior ecologists, you will work on diverse projects including infrastructure, housing, and private developments. Responsibilities include project delivery throughout its lifecycle, liaising with clients and stakeholders, managing teams and subcontractors, and preparing technical reports and licences.
This is a permanent full-time role, with consideration for part-time.
Experience in ecological appraisals, impact assessments, mitigation licences, and surveys is required. You should have project management experience, legislative knowledge, and be prepared to travel, work in the field, and work flexible hours. A CSCS card and valid UK driver’s licence are preferred.
Salary based on experience, with benefits including pension contributions, life assurance, employee support, holiday entitlement, and flexible working.
We are a supportive team of ecologists, part of Surrey Wildlife Trust, committed to environmental and community goals. Remote working is possible.
