Job summary

Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Chief Cardiac Physiologist – Echocardiography at Broomfield Hospital. The role is a fixed-term maternity cover, 28.5 hours per week, carrying responsibility for independently performing and reporting routine and complex echocardiograms in inpatient and outpatient settings.

The successful candidate will hold or be working towards RCCP/HCPC registration, be BSE accredited for adult TTE, and provide training to students and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as a Cardiac Physiologist in all areas of Cardiac Physiology, with further experience as specialist echocardiographer.
• Experience of training staff in Echocardiography.

Responsibilities

• Perform and report routine and complex echocardiograms in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Independently operate within the echocardiography department.
• Provide training and educational support to students and colleagues.
