Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior EC&I Engineer with Nuclear experience to join its Adelaide Building Engineering team. You will lead EC&I design across complex infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with standards and safety requirements while collaborating with multiple disciplines.

The role offers hybrid work options, exposure to high-profile defence and critical infrastructure projects, and opportunities for professional growth within a global firm. CPEng/Chartered status is desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Proven delivery of EC&I systems on major infrastructure, industrial or defence projects; nuclear experience is highly regarded.
• Strong knowledge of LV/MV distribution, power system studies, PLC/SCADA/DCS, ics, building automation.
• Experience with instrumentation specification, system integration and reliability considerations.
• Understanding of functional safety, hazard analysis, SIL assessment and verification.
• Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams in regulated environments.
• CPEng or Chartered status desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and engineering of EC&I systems to meet project and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and review technical docs, drawings and calculations with other disciplines.
• Provide technical guidance to engineers and designers to sustain high delivery standards.
• Conduct studies, hazard analyses and assessments to inform design decisions.
• Support testing, commissioning and validation activities for safety-critical systems.
• Collaborate with project managers and clients to resolve issues and ensure alignment across disciplines.
