Job summary

AECOM’s Adelaide Building Engineering team seeks a Senior EC&I Engineer with Nuclear experience to join our growing practice. Based in Adelaide with relocation support for qualified candidates, you will lead EC&I design across critical infrastructure projects and work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver compliant, safe, and innovative solutions.

Qualifications

• A degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualifications and experience.
• Nuclear experience, particularly defence, would be highly regarded.
• CPEng or Chartered Engineer status, or commitment to professional registration, desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and engineering of Electrical, Controls & Instrumentation (EC&I) systems, ensuring designs meet project requirements, standards and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and review technical documentation, specifications, drawings and calculations, coordinating with other disciplines.
• Provide technical guidance to engineers and designers to maintain high delivery standards.
• Undertake engineering studies, option assessments, hazard and risk assessments and other investigations.
• Contribute to engineering justifications, assurance documentation and safety-related deliverables for safety-significant systems.
• Work with Project Managers, Design Managers and other disciplines to integrate EC&I solutions across complex projects.
• Support testing, commissioning and validation activities to ensure systems perform as required.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders to provide technical input and resolve issues.
