Job summary

AECOM in Adelaide is seeking a Senior EC&I Engineer with Nuclear experience to join our Building Engineering team. This role offers the chance to work on Australia’s most complex infrastructure projects, supporting critical infrastructure for nuclear and defence capabilities.

Based in Adelaide with relocation packages for suitably qualified candidates, you will lead design of Electrical, Controls & Instrumentation systems, review technical docs, mentor engineers, and collaborate with project

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualifications and experience.
• Proven experience delivering EC&I systems across major infrastructure or regulated projects; nuclear experience highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and engineering of Electrical, Controls & Instrumentation (EC&I) systems, ensuring designs meet project requirements and regulatory standards.
• Prepare and review technical documentation, specifications, drawings and calculations, coordinating with other disciplines.
• Provide technical guidance to engineers and designers to maintain high-quality delivery.
• Undertake engineering studies, hazard assessments and other investigations to inform design decisions.
• Contribute to engineering justifications, safety-related deliverables for safety-significant systems.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Design Managers, architects and other disciplines to integrate EC&I solutions.
• Support testing, commissioning and validation activities to ensure systems perform as required.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders to resolve engineering and project issues.
