Job summary

Amentum is recruiting a Senior EC&I Engineer to join the team in Westlakes, Cumbria, as part of the Sellafield PPP programme. You will lead EC&I design across phases, manage baselines, and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver safe, compliant solutions.

The role emphasises mentoring, regulatory knowledge, and robust change control, with a focus on safety and project delivery in a regulated environment. Hybrid working options and UK-based projects are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline, or demonstrable equivalent experience.
• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status or working towards chartership.
• Experience delivering EC&I design within highly regulated industries, nuclear sector preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead EC&I design across multiple project phases including detailed design, procurement, manufacture, installation and commissioning.
• Manage EC&I design configuration baseline and ensure robust change control.
• Produce and review EC&I deliverables to meet timelines and standards.
• Provide technical oversight of EC&I supply chain and support testing activities.
• Coordinate EC&I interfaces with multidisciplinary teams using BIM and design reviews.
• Mentor junior engineers and support competency development within the discipline.
• Ensure EC&I design aligns with safety requirements and regulatory codes.
