Job summary

Amentum is recruiting a Senior Control & Instrumentation Engineer to join the PPP programme for Sellafield, Cumbria. You will lead the delivery of C&I solutions across the project lifecycle, from concept through commissioning, coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams and suppliers.

The role requires a relevant engineering degree, professional registration or progress toward Incorporated/Chartered status, and extensive experience in regulated environments such as nuclear.

Qualifications

• BEng/MEng degree in Control & Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent.
• Professionally registered, or working towards Incorporated or Chartered status.
• Significant C&I experience in nuclear or highly regulated industry.
• Proven track record leading production and review of C&I deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and delivery of C&I engineering solutions across lifecycle.
• Produce, review and approve C&I deliverables per standards and procedures.
• Manage C&I design baseline; control and implement design changes.
• Provide technical oversight of control and instrumentation systems and safety requirements.
• Coordinate with suppliers/subcontractors; support testing and acceptance.
• Work with BIM and other disciplines for integrated system design.
• Ensure designs align with safety case requirements and project objectives.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers and graduates; support commissioning.
