Job summary

Amentum is recruiting a Senior EC&I Engineer to join our Westlakes, Cumbria team. You will lead EC&I design across project phases, manage the configuration baseline, and ensure compliance with UK codes, standards and client requirements.

Qualifications

• BEng/MEng degree in a relevant discipline, or demonstrable equivalent experience with an HNC/HND.
• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status (or working towards chartership).
• Significant experience delivering EC&I design within highly regulated industries; nuclear sector experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead EC&I design activities across multiple project phases including detailed design, procurement, manufacture, installation, and commissioning.
• Manage EC&I design configuration baseline in response to evolving project requirements, ensuring robust change control.
• Produce, review, and approve EC&I design deliverables to programme deadlines and ensure compliance with relevant standards, codes, legislation, and client engineering requirements.
• Provide technical oversight of the EC&I supply chain, including resolution of Technical Queries, design assurance reviews, and support to testing.
• Coordinate EC&I system integration with multidisciplinary teams through BIM, interface management and design reviews.
• Support development of junior engineers and provide technical guidance across EC&I discipline.
• Ensure EC&I design intent aligns with nuclear and conventional safety requirements, with validation and verification processes.
