Job summary

Storal is hiring a Senior Early Years Educator (Nursery Room Leader) at Main Street Nursery School in Long Eaton, Nottingham. You will lead the team, deliver high-quality care and play-based learning, and safeguard children in a warm setting.

You will ensure EYFS compliance, supervise staff, and collaborate with management to run the nursery smoothly. The role requires Level 3+ in early years and strong communication with children and adults.

Qualifications

• A Level 3 or above qualification within early years.
• Proven experience as an Early Years Educator (Nursery Nurse/Practitioner).
• Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS.
• Excellent communication skills with children and adults.
• Reflecting Storal values around responsibility, openness and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Deliver care to children while supervising your team.
• Identify areas for improvement in learning/teaching techniques and experiences.
• Embrace inclusivity to meet individual needs in your room.
• Ensure regular record-keeping and conduct team appraisals.
• Work with other Room Leads and management to run the nursery successfully.

How you’ll spend your time here

Day to day, you willdeliver care to the children whilst alsosupervising your team.

You’ll identify areas for improvements whether that relates tolearning and teaching techniques orcreating morestimulatingexperiences and environments. You will embrace inclusivity to ensure the individual needs of all those within your room are met.

You’ll beresponsible for ensuring all record keeping requirements are regularly completed, as well as conducting your team appraisals. As the Senior Early Years Educator (Nursery Room Leader) you will work in partnership with other Room Leads and the management team to ensure the successful running of the nursery.

• A Level 3 or above qualification within early years
• Proven experience working as an Early Years Educator (Nursery Nurse/Practitioner)
