Job summary
Aldwych Consulting is seeking a Drainage Engineer to strengthen its highways and infrastructure team in the UK. The role covers drainage design from feasibility to construction, with opportunities to lead on major schemes and interact with highways, utilities and environmental teams.
You will work on drainage strategies, SuDS features, and hydraulic modelling while developing project, client and commercial management skills.
Qualifications
- Strong drainage and infrastructure engineering background with highways experience.
- Experience with drainage design and SuDS for major schemes.
- Proficiency with drainage modelling tools (Causeway Flow, InfoDrainage).
- Knowledge of Civil 3D and relevant highway/water standards.
Responsibilities
- Deliver drainage design packages from feasibility to construction.
- Develop drainage strategies from feasibility through detailed design and construction.
- Design pipe networks, attenuation, swales, ponds and SuDS features.
- Perform rainfall/runoff calculations and design storms.
- Coordinate drainage design with highways, earthworks and utilities.
- Produce models, drawings, calculations and technical submissions.
- Support junior engineers and share knowledge.
