Job Description

We're looking for a Senior Drainage Engineer to join our Design team based in Liverpool. The team designs a wide range of building types and site redevelopments across various construction sectors such as education, retail, blue light, conservation, and commercial, for both public and private clients. Location: Liverpool

Hours: 37.5 hours per week with some flexibility available; please discuss this during your application.

Responsibilities:

• Producing and reviewing drainage design calculations, flood risk assessments, drawings, models, and specifications.
• Coordinating drainage and civil engineering designs within the team and with other disciplines such as architecture and landscape architecture.
• Setting sustainable drainage strategies and obtaining necessary planning consents, including liaising with authorities and statutory bodies.
• Occasional site visits for surveys, inspections, and representation at project meetings.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Sciences (BSc, MSc, BEng, MEng) and professional membership such as CEng or membership of relevant institutions.
• Knowledge of underground drainage design to European Standards, experience with SUDS systems, and familiarity with Innovyze InfoDrainage or MicroDrainage software.
• Full driving license for site visits.
