Job summary

WWL is recruiting a Domestic Supervisor to lead the Domestic Services team at Royal Albert Edward Hospital in Wigan. The successful candidate will supervise daily cleaning operations, coordinate staff rotas, and ensure compliance with national standards, delivering a high level of patient care.

The role is full-time (37.5 hours per week) with a flexible approach to hours, including potential on-call requirements.

Qualifications

• C.I.L.B City and Guilds N.V.Q Level 1&2 or equivalent qualification.
• Experience supervising domestic services.
• Knowledge of infection control, health & safety.
• Ability to work unsociable hours and cover shifts.

Responsibilities

• Allocate & organise day-to-day work tasks and activities, adjust staff rotas for unplanned absences.
• Security of buildings and monitoring cleaning standards.
• Monitoring performance according to work schedules and standards.
• Training & assessment of staff in the use of cleaning equipment and COSHH.
