Job summary

OMass Therapeutics in Oxford seeks a Discovery DMPK Scientist (Senior Scientist II / Principal Scientist) to apply DMPK expertise across Hit-to-Lead to Candidate Selection. You’ll work with Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmacology and Bioscience to overcome ADME challenges in cutting-edge drug discovery projects.

Ideal candidates have a strong DMPK background, hands-on experience with in vitro ADME, in silico ADME and bioanalysis, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality candidate molecules

Qualifications

• Degree or PhD in Biology, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Pharmacokinetics or related pharmaceutical science.
• Significant pharma/biotech/CRO experience contributing DMPK from early discovery to pre-clinical/first-in-human.
• Strong knowledge of DMPK, including in vitro ADME, in silico ADME and bioanalysis.
• Experience overseeing assay work with CROs or internal labs, including protocol design and data interpretation.
• Technical expertise in in vivo PK modelling, IVIVE and human dose prediction.
• High level analytical and problem-solving skills with lateral thinking.
• Caring and inclusive; collaborative teamwork and respect for diverse ideas.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide DMPK expertise to support drug discovery projects from Hit-to-Lead to Candidate Selection.
• Collaborate with Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmacology and Bioscience to address DMPK challenges.
• Design, commission and oversee experimental studies to support compound optimisation and project progression.
• Translate in vitro ADME and pre-clinical PK to predictions of PK and safety in patients.
• Develop mechanistic and PK/PD models to evaluate hypotheses and guide study design.
• Interpret data and write project reports; share information across teams.
• Represent DMPK on multidisciplinary projects and provide scientific leadership.
