Job summary

East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Senior Community Nurse for the IP3 Community Team in Ipswich. The post is a 1-year fixed-term, full-time role led by a Band 7 nurse, offering clinical leadership within a busy community setting.

You will manage a caseload alongside two Band 6 senior nurses and a team of support staff, supported by a tailored induction and ongoing development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse level 1
• Assessor/mentorship preparation; ENB 998 or equivalent
• Current NMC registration
• Evidence of continuing professional development
• Experience of working within an NHS community service
• Full and valid driving licence with access to a vehicle or viable alternative
• Independent/supplementary prescribing qualification
• Coaching skills
• Additional leadership qualification

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and supervisory leadership to junior staff and students within the team
• Plan and deliver the nursing service within the community healthcare team
• Manage a caseload of patients with complex needs using evidence-based practice
• Provide specialist nursing input into planning, development and evaluation of clinical services
