Placements24 is seeking an experienced Dispatch Manager to lead our dispatch operations in East London. You will oversee the coordination of outgoing shipments and deliveries, ensure efficient routing, timely departures, and clear communication with drivers and clients.

You will manage a team of dispatchers, optimize workflow, and implement strategies to boost operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in dispatch or transportation management.
• Experience managing a team of dispatchers or logistics staff.
• Strong knowledge of routing, scheduling software and transportation logistics.
• Excellent leadership and decision-making under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise the daily activities of the dispatch team, ensuring all shipments are coordinated efficiently.
• Develop and implement effective dispatching strategies to optimize routes, schedules, and resource allocation.
• Monitor driver performance and adherence to schedules, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Ensure clear and timely communication with drivers, clients, and internal departments regarding shipment status.
• Maintain accurate dispatch records and analyze performance data to identify areas for improvement.
• Implement and enforce company policies and safety procedures within the dispatch department.
