SolidCor, a UK-based fire door manufacturer in Chesterfield, seeks a Senior Dispatch Coordinator to own outbound logistics at the Chesterfield factory. You will oversee order picking, packing, and dispatch, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries, while coordinating with production and customers.

The role requires hands-on leadership in a fast-paced environment, a focus on accuracy, and collaboration across production, sales and customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience in dispatch, warehouse or logistics coordination in a manufacturing or building products environment.
• Strong organisational skills to manage priorities, high order volumes, tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage daily dispatch operations, ensuring orders leave on time and in full.
• Plan and prioritise outbound workload across the team to meet daily/weekly targets.
• Ensure accurate picking against delivery notes and production records with zero tolerance for errors.
• Liaise with carriers and logistics partners to book collections and optimise routes/costs.
• Maintain despatch records and proof of delivery in real time.
• Collaborate with production to align despatch with manufacturing output and client deadlines.
• Support warehouse functions including goods-in, stock management and inventory accuracy.
• Lead and mentor junior despatch staff to uphold accuracy, pace and professionalism.
• Identify and implement process improvements in despatch operations with Operations Manager.
• Maintain safe, clean despatch area in line with H&S requirements.
