Job summary

SolidCor is seeking a Production Cell Lead to own a dedicated production cell in our Chesterfield factory, leading a small team of operatives and ensuring output and quality meet specification. This hands-on role requires you to work alongside the team, set the pace, and drive right-first-time production.

You will monitor performance, support onboarding of new operatives, read technical drawings, and uphold H&S standards while pushing for continuous improvement across the cell and site.

Qualifications

• Experience as bench joiner or production operative in manufacturing or joinery.
• Ability to read technical drawings, cut lists and specs.
• Strong commitment to right-first-time production and quality.
• Lead by example with H&S standards and safe working practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team of operatives in a dedicated production cell.
• Maintain output and quality to specification; monitor real-time performance.
• Hands-on work alongside the team, setting pace and best practice.
• Onboard and train new operatives in your cell.
• Report shift output and issues to Shift Manager at handover.
• Identify efficiency improvements and feed ideas to management.
