Job summary

Apolitical is seeking a Director of Public Sector Partnerships to drive revenue from governments and government-adjacent bodies. You will own complex, multi‑year deals from qualification through procurement to signature, expanding our international government accounts and building a sustainable pipeline.

The role is senior and hands‑on, with no direct reports at first, and offers a hybrid London/work pattern.

Qualifications

• Experience securing significant, multi‑year government contracts.
• Ability to identify opportunities across ministries and agencies.
• Strong negotiation, pricing and contract structuring skills.
• Proven track record in building and managing government pipelines across regions.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex public sector sales – own government opportunities through the full commercial cycle, including procurement and contract signature.
• Build and qualify pipeline – generate new government business internationally and focus on highest revenue potential.
• Grow existing government accounts – renewals and expansions across multi‑year and multi‑department agreements.
• Structure commercially viable agreements – pricing and terms balancing government needs and margins.
• Shape our public sector commercial strategy – set priority regions and accounts with leadership and influence propositions.
• Manage commercial performance – maintain pipeline data, forecast revenue, monitor risks and action plans.
