Job summary

Apolitical is seeking a Director of Public Sector Partnerships to expand government adoption of learning programmes, communities and AI-powered products through larger, longer-term agreements.

Governments and related bodies are our core customers, and this role focuses on converting the existing government pipeline into revenue while growing current accounts and building a sustainable international pipeline.

Qualifications

• Experience securing significant government contracts or long-term partnerships.
• Ability to manage multi-stage procurement processes and complex negotiations.
• Strong commercial judgement with pricing and margin focus.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex public sector sales – own government opportunities through the full commercial cycle, including proposals, tenders, procurement, negotiation and contract signature.
• Build and qualify pipeline – generate new business with governments and public sector bodies internationally.
• Grow existing government accounts – secure renewals and expand partnerships into larger, multi-year agreements.
• Structure commercially viable agreements – balance government requirements with revenue and margins.
• Shape our public sector commercial strategy – set priority regions, segments and accounts with leadership.
• Manage commercial performance – maintain pipeline data, forecast revenue and identify risks.
