Job summary

Terry Parris Associates Ltd seeks a Director of Engineering to lead its UK engineering function from Pulborough. You will develop the team, shape the roadmap for high‑voltage power supplies, and improve delivery across the engineering portfolio.

You will own budgeting, resource planning, and design governance while guiding cross‑functional teams across power conversion, digital control, embedded software and magnetics. A strong track record in electronics and leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree (electrical or electronic)
• 10+ years in electronics design or manufacturing
• 5+ years in general and project management
• Evidence of leading engineering teams delivering complex electronics to manufacture
• Strong judgement on technical risk, design governance, manufacturing controls and competing programme priorities

Responsibilities

• Develop engineering managers and specialists and create succession plans.
• Own portfolio priorities, budgets and resource planning across NPD, R&D and sustaining engineering.
• Lead design governance and enable cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, manufacturable products.
• Translate customer needs into investment and platform decisions across power conversion, digital control, embedded software and magnetics.
