Job summary

Per International is seeking an Engineering Director to lead EV charging and power electronics initiatives in the UK. This hybrid role shapes technical strategy, product development and delivery across a growing business.

You will unite electrical, electronics, power electronics and embedded systems teams, set roadmaps, supervise validation and certification, and drive hardware programs from concept to production.

Qualifications

• Senior engineering leader with proven track record in EV charging or power electronics.
• Experience taking hardware products from concept through validation and production.
• Ability to set technical direction and build scalable engineering processes.
• Experience managing budgets, resources and cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary teams across electrical, electronics, power electronics and embedded systems.
• Define technical direction for future charging and power conversion products.
• Oversee development from concept through validation, certification and release.
• Develop engineering processes and standards as the business scales.
• Collaborate with product, operations, manufacturing and commercial teams.
• Manage budgets, priorities and resource planning.
• Support customer and partner discussions requiring senior technical input.
• Identify future technology opportunities in EV charging and energy infrastructure.
