Appian in London is seeking a Director, Solutions Consulting to lead a world-class pre-sales team and shape enterprise engagements across the EMEA region. You will guide complex demonstrations, drive revenue velocity, and partner with Sales Directors on strategic opportunities.

The role requires 10+ years in solutions consulting, 5+ years in leadership, and a strong background in BPM/automation. Travel up to 70% is expected as part of enterprise client engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required (see exact fields in ad).
• 10+ years of experience in solutions consulting, pre-sales engineering, or technical architecture.
• 5+ years of leadership directing technical presales teams.
• Sales incentive plan experience tied to revenue, bookings, or unit sales.
• Able to travel up to 70% to customer locations and events.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop talent: mentor and evaluate a high-performing team of pre-sales engineers.
• Orchestrate technical sales: scope, design, and execute tailored demonstrations and POC/ POV frameworks.
• Partner with Sales Leadership on opportunity qualification, territory strategy, and bookings outcomes.
• Architect integration strategies: create customer installation models and system integration plans.
• Influence product direction by feeding field patterns to Product teams.
• Evangelize the platform: act as technical liaison at executive briefings, conferences and events.
