Anglia Ruskin University is seeking a senior HR leader to steer employment policy, strategic employee relations and workforce governance across a complex university environment.

Reporting to the Chief People Officer, you will partner with executive leadership, unions and external partners, based across multiple campuses with travel. This role shapes modern, inclusive employment frameworks to support ARU's strategic ambitions in higher education and subsidiary organisations.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of employment law, employee relations, contracts, collective agreements and workforce governance.
• Experience of organisational change, job evaluation, contractual frameworks and board-level reporting.
• Excellent negotiation, consultation, analytical and communication skills.
• Strategic, commercially aware and solutions-focused, with integrity and discretion.
• Higher degree or relevant professional qualification; postgraduate study advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Shape, implement and continuously improve employment policies, contracts, terms and conditions.
• Oversee collective agreements, consultation processes and provide authoritative advisory on high-risk matters.
• Deliver major organisational change by translating employment law and workforce data into practical solutions.
• Produce high-quality papers and recommendations for senior committees and governing bodies.
