Job summary

University of Portsmouth is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead mid‑scale digital transformation projects across the business, organisational and system levels. You will manage the full project lifecycle, coordinate with the Programme Manager and IT stakeholders, and ensure delivery plans are accurate and achievable.

The role supports hybrid working, with in‑ Portsmouth a few days per week, and is a fixed‑term contract until 29 February 2028. Interviews are anticipated on 09 December 2026.

Qualifications

• Experience leading digital transformation projects end‑to‑end.
• Ability to coordinate with Programme Manager and IT stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple projects concurrently from initiation to handover to business as usual.
• Develop accurate delivery plans and resource allocations.
• Prepare and track project budgets and progress reports.
• Escalate to stakeholders when required to enable successful implementation.
