The Senior Project Manager at University of Portsmouth will manage a portfolio of mid-scale digital transformation projects across business, organisational and system levels, guiding delivery from initiation to handover and BAU, coordinating with the Programme Manager and stakeholders from business and IT.

You will lead multiple projects, oversee resources, budgets and schedules, promote project management best practices, and work with external suppliers to ensure on-time, on-budget, and quality

Competenze

• Define and manage small and medium sized projects < £2.5m in value, producing the appropriate level of project documentation, effectively managing issues and risks and ensuring the project meets the agreed budget, time and quality constraints.
• Define and manage workstreams within large, high-risk projects, cooperating with the Programme or Project Manager responsible for managing the project.

• Identify and secure resources to deliver a project.
• Develop realistic budget estimates and the business case to secure funding.
• Produce realistic schedules and work plans.
• Develop service transition, change management, benefits realisation, training and communication plans.
• Manage the project budget and direct reports, delegating work to ensure reliable delivery.
• Produce supplier requirements and oversee supplier selection for procurement.
• Coordinate with external suppliers and contractors to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery.
• Communicate progress to project boards and senior management.
