Job summary

Wernick Power Solutions is seeking an experienced Advanced Generator Service Engineer to repair, overhaul and restore diesel and gas generators. You will work to engineering standards, meet repair timescales and uphold safety requirements while delivering high-quality workmanship.

The role involves hands-on fault-finding, dismantling and reassembly, testing and commissioning, plus thorough documentation for each service call. A full UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving license is required.
• Experience repairing and maintaining diesel-powered equipment or generators.
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams and service manuals.
• Knowledge of health and safety requirements within an engineering environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Promote SHEQ standards and support safety improvements.
• Carry out major repairs and overhauls on diesel and gas generator sets.
• Inspect engines, alternators and components for repair or replacement.
• Perform load bank testing, functional testing and commissioning.
• Prepare repair reports, parts lists and service records.
