Job summary

Computerworld Personnel Ltd is seeking a Lead Diagnostics & Electrical Systems Engineer for a well-established engineering business in Llanelli. You will lead end-to-end diagnostics programmes, develop and validate electrical, electronic, EV and high-voltage systems, and provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle.

The role demands strong leadership in customer-facing environments, experience with CAN/CAN FD, UDS/ODX/OTX, and tools such as CANoe, CANalyzer and INCA.

Qualifications

• Extensive engineering background with diagnostic development experience in OEM/Tier1 or retailer/dealer environments.
• Strong technical expertise in electrical/electronic architectures and diagnostics standards (UDS, ODX, OTX, DoIP).
• Experience with CAN, CAN FD, LIN and Ethernet networks.
• Leadership in customer-facing roles, managing projects from concept through release.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end diagnostics programmes, covering strategy, development, validation, release, maintenance and support.
• Provide specialist expertise in electrical, electronic, EV and high-voltage systems; perform investigations and root-cause analysis.
• Manage customer relationships throughout the project lifecycle; lead technical workshops and stakeholder reporting.
• Oversee project delivery including scope, timing, cost, risk and supplier coordination.
• Drive continuous improvement and business growth through data analysis and mentoring teams.
