Job summary

Blue Arrow is urgently recruiting for a Lead Diagnostics & Electrical Systems Engineer to join our client's growing Automotive Manufacturing team based in the Llanelli area. The role focuses on leading development, release and delivery of diagnostic solutions and retailer tooling, and acting as the primary technical interface with customers and suppliers.

You will lead projects to meet quality, timing and budget objectives, mentor engineers, and contribute to EV/HV investigations and validation

Qualifications

• 8-12+ years within automotive engineering.
• Proven automotive diagnostics development experience.
• OEM, retailer or Tier 1 experience.
• Retailer/ dealer diagnostic tooling experience.
• Experience with UDS, ODX and DoIP.
• Knowledge of CAN, CAN FD, LIN and Automotive Ethernet.
• Experience with diagnostic development and release processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead automotive diagnostic development, validation, release and maintenance activities.
• Define diagnostic strategies and technical solutions for customer programmes.
• Lead design, development, production and support of retailer diagnostic tooling.
• Provide specialist expertise in vehicle electrical and electronic systems.
• Manage project timing, cost, scope, risks and deliverables.
• Prepare and present technical reports to customers and senior stakeholders.
• Mentor engineers and technicians and promote engineering best practice.
• Lead customer workshops, technical reviews and progress meetings.
