You will work in a technician-first, collaborative site with a clear focus on right-first-time quality. Salary £35,000–£45,000 DOE, 20 days holiday, free parking, and staff discounts.

Qualifications

• Time-served mechanic with strong heavy mechanical repair and fault isolation skills.
• NVQ Level 3 / IMI Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent.
• Full UK driving licence.
• MOT Tester licence advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Execute heavy mechanical procedures including timing chains/belts, clutches, engine overhauls, and gearbox replacements.
• Utilise advanced multi-brand diagnostic platforms to trace, evaluate, and resolve faults.
• Complete servicing, multi-point health checks, and general maintenance to high specialist standards.
• Record technical notes on digital job cards and communicate progress with front-of-house staff.
• Maintain bay cleanliness, tool care, and health & safety protocols.

Known across Northamptonshire for delivering high workshop standards without corporate micro-management, this facility handles everything from routine servicing to advanced emissions diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, and complex mechanical overhauls across a wide mix of multi-brand vehicles.

• Record clear technical notes on digital job cards and communicate repair progress with front-of-house staff
• Maintain pristine bay cleanliness, tool care, and standard workshop health and safety protocols

Candidate Profile

• Technical Experience: Time-served mechanic with solid confidence in heavy mechanical repairs and diagnostic fault isolation
• Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 / IMI Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent time-served background)
• MOT Status: Holding a valid MOT Tester licence is advantageous for starting pay, but is not essential to apply
• Requirements: Full UK Driving Licence
