Job summary

SAP SE is seeking a seasoned cloud operations expert to own cloud service delivery across a globally distributed team. You will ensure security, performance and reliability while provisioning, monitoring, and scaling cloud services.

Lead incident response, conduct RCA, and automate deployment, testing, and observability. Engage with product teams to evolve services with a focus on SaaS multitenant environments and governance.

Qualifications

• Experience operating and scaling cloud-based platforms end-to-end.
• Hands-on knowledge of cloud infrastructure and AWS services.
• Expertise in infrastructure automation and CI/CD pipeline design.
• Ability to lead incident management and RCA in high-availability environments.
• Experience with global cloud environments and SaaS multitenant security fundamentals.

What you'll bring

You have proven expertise independently operating and scaling cloud-based platforms, with deep hands‑on experience applying DevOps best practices end to end in production environments.

• Deep hands‑on knowledge of cloud infrastructure, including AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Route 53, CloudWatch, DynamoDB, IAM, ACM, KMS, and VPC.
• Strong expertise in infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipeline design, scripting, and programming, with solid command of GIT, Linux, and SUSE.
• Proven ability to lead incident management, root cause analysis, and implement continuous service improvements in complex, high‑availability environments.
• Experience in systems administration, database administration, and landscape maintenance across globally distributed cloud environments.
• Solid understanding of networking, virtualization, internet protocols, observability tooling, and security fundamentals for SaaS multitenant applications.
• Degree not required for this role.

What you'll build

• Analyse and resolve operational issues, lead incident response, and conduct root cause analysis to embed learnings into continuous service improvements.
• Design, build, and automate processes for deployment, testing, scalability, and observability of services.
• Develop and maintain policies and standards for computing resource allocation and cloud governance.
• Collaborate with product development teams to design and enhance services, and cross‑train with global team members.
• Support on‑call rotation, including flexibility for scheduled maintenance and after‑hours work when needed.
