Job summary

ByDesign Secure Systems Ltd in London is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to design, build and support secure, scalable Linux infrastructure for mission-critical government systems.

You will administer Red Hat IdM and Keycloak, manage BIND DNS and Apache Guacamole in air-gapped environments, and apply IaC with Ansible and Terraform.

This role requires active UK SC clearance or eligibility, with on-site London presence a few days per week under a hybrid model.

Qualifications

• Hands-on infrastructure or Linux engineering in enterprise environments.
• Experience with Red Hat IdM, Keycloak, BIND DNS and Guacamole.
• Proficient with IaC (Ansible) and GitLab.
• Experience in air-gapped or strictly controlled environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and support secure Linux infrastructure services for air-gapped environments.
• Administer IdM and Keycloak platforms.
• Deploy and manage Guacamole and BIND DNS services.
• Operate in disconnected environments, ensure security compliance.
• Collaborate with architecture, security, and engineering teams.
• Maintain RHEL systems, patching and hardening.
• Implement automation with Ansible, Terraform, and shell scripts.
• Provide 2nd/3rd line support and maintain documentation.
• Produce technical designs and runbooks.
• Present designs via governance and TDA processes.
