Job summary

Spectrum IT Recruitment is partnering with a client to recruit an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer. The role focuses on Kubernetes on AWS, designing, building and stabilising environments across development, testing and production.

You will work with Cloud, Development and QA teams to resolve blockers, implement automation and ensure secure, scalable infrastructure. Kubernetes/AWS certifications are desirable but practical delivery matters most.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience designing, building and operating production-grade Kubernetes platforms.
• Extensive AWS experience supporting containerised workloads including networking, IAM, storage and security.
• Experience with Terraform and configuration automation using Ansible or equivalent tools.

Responsibilities

• Assess the existing Kubernetes platform and AWS infrastructure to identify priorities and blockers.
• Design, build and configure secure, reliable Kubernetes environments.
• Troubleshoot issues across clusters, containers, AWS services, networking and deployment pipelines.
• Review and support container environments, recommending improvements and standardisation.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code and automation for consistent environment creation and recovery.
• Establish deployment, release promotion and rollback processes across environments.
• Improve platform security, monitoring, resilience, scalability and recovery.
• Produce clear documentation and share knowledge with the team.
