Job summary

Transport for London seeks a Senior DevOps Engineer to deliver and integrate software, building scalable DevOps toolchains for repeatable deployments. You will mentor junior engineers, own delivery across large initiatives and ensure high availability of critical systems in hybrid environments.

Responsibilities include leading deployment strategies, coaching teams, and contributing to medium-long term product line roadmaps.

Qualifications

• Azure cloud-based systems and resources knowledge.
• Infrastructure as Code automation tools.
• CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps.
• Agile frameworks including Scrum and Kanban.
• SQL Server RDBMS knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develops effective DevOps toolchains to enable product delivery and ensure scalable deployment strategies.
• Lead knowledge sharing and best practices across teams to foster learning.
• Identify and resolve complex issues to meet SLAs.
• Design reusable templates and shared services with long-term strategy.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior developers.
