Job summary

Quantum Motion in London is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure for production workloads. You will own IaC, automation, and secure configurations across hybrid cloud environments.

You will work with a world-class team to optimize cost, performance, and reliability on AWS, focusing on automation, container orchestration, and seamless integration with on-site systems. The role offers flexible working and a central London location.

Qualifications

• Proven track record architecting and deploying production-grade, scalable workloads on AWS.
• Deep expertise with Terraform and CloudFormation for modular infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of high-performance cloud storage (EFS, EBS, FSx) and enterprise IAM patterns.
• Proficiency in Python or Bash for automation and tooling.
• Experience with Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu) and secure, automated OS image management.
• Ability to translate infrastructure decisions into guidance for development teams.
• Certifications in AWS or related domains are welcome.

Responsibilities

• Design, provision, and manage large-scale, highly available cloud infrastructure for compute-heavy workloads.
• Implement and maintain IaC (Terraform or CloudFormation) for automated provisioning of secure, low-latency environments.
• Architect and maintain high-performance cloud storage with efficient data backup and replication.
• Automate deployment, configuration, and auto-scaling of containers and core services.
• Enforce security via Zero Trust, IAM roles, and automated configuration management.
• Provide expert support, document workflows, and mentor juniors on cloud-native best practices.
