Job summary

NICE is seeking a Senior Software Engineer who specializes in infrastructure automation to design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for provisioning, configuration management, and operational processes across cloud and on‑prem environments.

You will advance standardization with Python, Terraform, Puppet and PowerShell, build reusable templates, integrate CI/CD pipelines, and create runbooks and documentation that empower engineering teams to self‑service and deploy safely.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Python development with production-grade code.
• Strong Python packaging, virtual environments, dependency management and code quality tooling.
• Experience building CLI tools and automation frameworks.
• Hands-on with Jinja2 templating for code generation.
• Proficient with Terraform module design and state management.
• Experience with Puppet, Hiera, and Puppet testing pipelines.
• PowerShell scripting for Windows automation and hybrid cloud.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable automation frameworks.
• Build Terraform code-generation platforms using Python and Jinja2.
• Develop Puppet modules, manifests, and Hiera data.
• Create PowerShell automation solutions for server management.
• Develop internal automation tools and APIs for self-service.
• Integrate automation with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• Write documentation, runbooks, and standards for automation.
• Collaborate with cloud, platform, and application teams.
