Job summary

Kharon is seeking a DevOps Engineer to lead cloud infrastructure design for its high‑performance SaaS apps in a hybrid London setting. You will drive automation, CI/CD pipelines, and tooling while ensuring security and reliability.

The role emphasizes container orchestration with Kubernetes, AWS experience, and IaC practices; collaboration across teams is essential for rapid, secure delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in DevOps, Platform, or Infrastructure Engineering roles.
• Strong software development background with deep language expertise.
• Hands-on with Docker and container orchestration (Kubernetes preferred).
• Experience with AWS or another major cloud provider.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and cloud automation tooling (OpenTofu preferred).
• Experience building fully automated CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions and ArgoCD preferred).
• Solid understanding of monitoring, networking, and security; depth in at least one area.
• Strong command of Linux systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and evolution of cloud infrastructure for Kharon's high‑performance SaaS apps.
• Build and improve automation for infrastructure provisioning, tooling, and workflows to boost velocity.
• Monitor system health, capacity, and incidents to uphold SLA commitments.
• Embed security-first principles in architecture, automation and operations.
• Design and maintain systems for DR, backups, monitoring, and performance/security.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally as a hands‑on contributor, adopting new tools quickly.
