The Insolvency Service is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join the Digital Services team and shape our cloud platform using Azure.

You will build and maintain IaC and CI/CD tooling, improve deployment pipelines, ensure stability and security, and mentor junior engineers.

You will work across production and non-production environments, participate in incident investigations, and produce clear documentation to Digital Services standards.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure in a similar role.
• Experience building, maintaining and monitoring Azure PaaS and IaaS resources.

Responsabilités

• Provide subject matter expertise and guidance on Microsoft Azure.
• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD tooling.
• Improve deployment pipelines, monitoring and observability across digital products.
• Ensure stability, security and performance of production and non-production environments.
• Lead on incident investigation, root cause analysis, and service improvement.
• Define and maintain DevOps standards, including IaC, observability, deployment patterns, and runbooks.
• Support delivery teams with DevOps best practice and mentor junior engineers.
• Produce clear, accurate documentation aligned to Digital Services standards.
• Contribute to technical estimates and roadmap planning.
• Provide coaching to more junior colleagues.
