Job summary

Stott and May is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join a high-performing tech team supporting a large-scale ecommerce and digital estate. You will own production and non-production environments, deployment pipelines, monitoring and operations, delivering secure, resilient services.

You will work with development, IT and partners to implement automated, scalable cloud solutions, drive observability, and ensure strong security and compliance across platforms.

Qualifications

• Experience with Azure across IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, serverless and containers.
• Strong CI/CD experience with Azure DevOps and/or GitHub.
• Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Pulumi or ARM.
• Scripting with PowerShell, Python, YAML and/or TypeScript.
• Networking, DNS, routing, firewalls and load balancing.
• Experience with microservices and high-traffic web environments.
• Monitoring and observability with Dynatrace, Catchpoint or similar.
• Knowledge of CDNs, WAF, OWASP and application security.
• Experience supporting web/mobile apps in retail/eCommerce.
• Understanding of .NET, React/Vue and modern web tech.
• Experience with databases and performance optimisation.
• ITIL / ISO27001 experience.
• Experience integrating AI/agent-based solutions into enterprise environments.
• Experience with Akamai or similar CDN platforms.

Responsibilities

• Own and improve CI/CD pipelines across Azure DevOps and GitHub.
• Support and optimise production environments, resolving incidents and problems.
• Drive monitoring, observability, performance and reliability improvements.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Pulumi or ARM.
• Collaborate with dev teams to ensure live-supportability of apps.
• Implement automation, proactive monitoring and preventative improvements.
• Support release, change and service transition activities.
• Promote DevOps, Agile and ITIL practices across the team.
• Mentor colleagues and contribute to technical standards.
• Ensure solutions meet security, GDPR and PCI DSS requirements.
