Job summary

NTT DATA is seeking a Senior DevOps/Automation Engineer for IBM Z and hybrid platforms in the UK. You will design, build, and operate resilient automation across mainframe and distributed environments, embedding CI/CD, monitoring, and compliance into scalable workflows.

You will collaborate with engineering teams, mentor peers, and uphold engineering standards while delivering secure, auditable automation at scale. Hybrid UK work arrangement with remote options.

Qualifications

• DevOps experience spanning design, governance and implementation of best practices.
• 2+ years IBM Z experience including z/OSMF.
• Enterprise-scale Ansible via AAP experience.
• Strong Python production-quality code with logging and testing.
• Proficiency in YAML and Git-based CI/CD processes.
• Grafana dashboards and observability experience.

Responsibilities

• Design automation as resilient systems using Python and YAML.
• Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks for production orchestration (AAP).
• Integrate automation across IBM Z and distributed platforms.
• Build and maintain pipelines in GitHub and Jenkins with Groovy-based scripts.
• Design dashboards and telemetry pipelines using Grafana and observability tooling.
• Ensure security, secrets management and governance across pipelines.
