Lawes Consulting Group is recruiting a Senior Development Underwriter for a regional position covering Yorkshire and the North East. The role is hybrid, combining broker visits with home working and office time to drive growth and strengthen broker partnerships.

The successful candidate will underwrite complex commercial risks with SME focus, manage a diverse portfolio, and provide technical guidance to the team, while achieving financial targets and market expansion.

Formación

• Proven relationship management with brokers and stakeholders.
• Strong track record in underwriting commercial risk and delivering growth.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with sound commercial judgement.

Responsabilidades

• Drive new business and portfolio growth across Yorkshire and the North East through broker engagement.
• Underwrite larger and more complex commercial risks with SME focus and solid financial judgement.
• Build and nurture long-term broker partnerships to strengthen market position.
• Manage a portfolio with financial targets, retention, and growth planning.
• Support the underwriting team with technical guidance and collaboration.
