About the Senior Development Technologist job

The purpose of your role will be to ensure the effectiveness of factory processes aligns with business needs, consistently meeting, improving, and exceeding customer expectations.

Key tasks

1. Lead recipe development and product innovation from concept through to launch, including factory trials and initial costings.
2. Manage NPD projects, liaise with suppliers, and support customer engagement through presentations and development updates.
3. Oversee preproduction and production launches, benchmarking sessions, and identify market growth opportunities.
4. Contribute to strategic planning and cross-functional coordination.

About You

The successful candidate should be educated to degree level in Food Science, Nutrition, or an equivalent field.

You should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in NPD within the food manufacturing sector and experience leading trials in a commercially run factory.

The Senior Development Technologist position (ref: 8896) offers a salary of £40,000 - £45,000, depending on experience.

The site is located in North London and is accessible from Ilford, Hackney, Waltham Cross, Potters Bar, and surrounding areas.

The package includes 25 days holiday, pension, and the site operates weekdays only, with closure over the Christmas period. Working hours are Monday to Friday.
