Job summary

Carrington West are assisting their local authority client in the North West of England to recruit a Senior Development Management Planning Officer on an initial 3 month contract. The role covers householder and minor applications, LDCs, and supporting the Enforcement team, with eligibility for RTPI and a post-graduate degree preferred. A hybrid arrangement is offered, and a remote option may be available.

Pay rate is £40-45 per hour, negotiable based on experience. Job Ref - 69380.

Job description

Carrington West are assisting their local authority client based in the North West of England in the search for a Senior Development Management Planning Officer to join their Town Planning department on an initial 3 month contract.

In this role you be required to assist with householder and minor planning applications and related lawful development certificates. You will play a key role in also supporting the Planning Enforcement team and the writing of appeal statements.

For suitably qualified candidates, this role can be offered on a remote basis.

The successful candidate should be experienced in complex casework and able to give advice and guidance on a broad range of cases and topics. It would be beneficial to hold a Post-graduate degree in planning, regeneration or a related discipline, and have the eligibility for membership of RTPI.

The council are looking for candidates who will be able to hit the ground running and are offering a hybrid working basis.

Carrington West Pay Rate - £40-45per/hour (Negotiable depending on experience)
