Braintrust is seeking Developer Support Engineers — mid-level and senior — who are obsessed with helping developers overcome challenging technical blockers to achieve their goals. You’ll troubleshoot issues, identify workarounds, ship fixes, and document your findings to help future developers move faster.

This role blends technical problem solving, developer empathy, and tight collaboration with Engineering, Solutions, and Product.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting developer-facing products in a technical role.
• Ability to write, debug, and reason about Python or TypeScript codebases.
• Comfort learning and reasoning about APIs, SDKs, and developer tools quickly.
• Take ownership of technical problems and unblock customers.
• Clear, empathetic communication even for complex issues.
• Curiosity about LLM use cases and tools for AI reliability.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve API/SDK use issues with customers' codebases (Python/TypeScript).
• Reproduce bugs, identify causes, and collaborate with Engineering to fix them.
• Own developer communications via Slack and email, building trust with users.
• Write and maintain knowledge base docs to unblock future developers.
• Identify opportunities to improve developer experience, tooling, and support workflows.
• Write scripts, fix bugs, and contribute to internal tooling to enhance support.
• Capture customer feedback to inform Product and roadmap.
