Job summary

Arq is seeking a Senior Detection Engineer in London to own detection engineering end to end in our Datadog Cloud SIEM. You will bring hands-on experience with cloud logs and a strong engineering mindset to build practical, scalable detections for a global security team led by the CISO.

You will write and tune rules, onboard new log sources, validate coverage, and map detections to MITRE ATT&CK. Automation and AI agent work will be central to your role, supported by Terraform, Git, and CI

Qualifications

• 5+ years in security, including 3+ years owning detections in production.
• Hands-on experience with a cloud SIEM and its query language (Datadog Cloud SIEM, Splunk, Elastic, etc.).
• Deep knowledge of AWS logs (CloudTrail, IAM) and SaaS audit logs.

Responsibilities

• Own detection engineering end to end in Datadog Cloud SIEM.
• Write, test and tune detection rules and map coverage to MITRE ATT&CK.
• Build automation and AI agents for rule authoring, validation and threat hunting.
