Job summary

Fidelity International seeks a Detection Engineering & Automation Specialist to strengthen Global Cybersecurity Operations by building and enhancing security tooling that underpins detection and response functions. The role covers SIEM, SOAR, EDR, email security, and cloud security platforms.

You will develop detections, CI/CD pipelines, onboarding of log sources, and support investigations during security incidents with engineering expertise across multiple security domains.

Qualifications

• Four+ years in Detection Engineering or SOC with engineering duties.
• Experience automating security operations and maturing processes.
• Experience managing security tools in a global/financialservices setting.
• Hands-on with Microsoft Sentinel, strong KQL and IaC practices.
• Proven ability to build CI/CD pipelines for detection and configuration deployments.
• Experience onboarding new log sources and integrating them with detection logic.
• Strong cloud security telemetry knowledge (AWS/Azure) and email security experience.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain and enhance detections using Sentinel-as-Code.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for detections and playbooks.
• Engineer and optimise SOAR automation and integrations.
• Onboard high-value security logs into the SIEM and normalise data.
• Support SOC/CIRT during incidents with telemetry onboarding and detections improvements.
• Maintain security controls across SIEM, SOAR, EDR, email security and networking tooling.
• Assess tool updates and product enhancements for secure adoption.
