Job summary

Infosec is seeking a Senior Security Engineering Consultant to join our cyber security practice. This hands-on role focuses on SOC modernization, detection engineering, and automation that improves customers' security posture.

You will design rules for SIEM and XDR, implement SOAR workflows, and work directly with customers to translate threats into concrete detections. Hybrid role with travel to customer sites and occasional office days in Basingstoke.

Qualifications

• Hands-on SIEM engineering and tuning of detection rules.
• Experience integrating SOAR playbooks & automations.
• Proficient in MITRE ATT&CK aligned detections.
• Strong client-facing consultancy experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver detection rulesets across SIEM/XDR platforms.
• Develop and tune detection logic using KQL or equivalent languages.
• Design and implement SOAR automations and response workflows.
• Translate threat intel into improved detections and playbooks.
• Work directly with customers as a trusted technical consultant.
