Job summary

TeacherActive Limited is recruiting a Designated Safeguarding Lead for a further education college in Leamington Spa. The role is permanent, full-time, term-time only (40 weeks per year) and 37 hours per week.

You will manage safeguarding referrals, advise on child protection and the Prevent duty, and coordinate safeguarding across staff and learners aged 14 to 16. The right candidate will hold Level 3 (or above) and Level 2 English qualifications, with completed safeguarding training and strong

Qualifications

• Professional, academic or vocational qualification at Level 3 or above.
• Level 2 English or willingness to achieve the standard.
• Experience with safeguarding procedures and legislation.

Responsibilities

• Manage safeguarding referrals and provide advice on child protection and the Prevent duty.
• Maintain accurate safeguarding records and liaise with external agencies.
• Support safeguarding arrangements for learners aged 14 to 16, including those in off-site or residential provision.
• Provide guidance to staff on safeguarding across the education setting.
